Lavender Town is a graveyard located in Kanto town of the Pokémon series. It is a graveyard where the souls of deceased Pokémon go when they die. One area of interest is Pokémon Tower, where memorial services are held for those dead Pokémon.
There was also a real life Controversy involving Lavender Town. According to rumors, after hearing to the original music of Lavender Town, many children committed Suicide.

The Winner knocks the loser into a building. Suddenly, several of the Lavender Town Ghosts swarm all over the screen as the infamous music plays. As the ghosts swarm off the screen, the opponent is shown to have committed suicide, possibly by jumping off the building.
